Purpose: The guidelines is developed to introduce climate resilient livelihood models in the Climate Smart Community Disaster Risk Reduction Project, which is aimed to increase the resilience of vulnerable communities in the Mekong Delta to the current and projected impacts of climate change.

Overview: The document outlines climate resilient livelihood models in local capacity building effort, especially to the most vulnerable groups. It presents eight-steps-guidelines together with instruction for each step:

  • Selecting hamlet for livelihood interventions
  • Scoring the poor and near poor household based on criteria
  • Publicize the scores
  • Pre-selecting beneficiaries
  • Hamlet meeting
  • Summit the proposed list to project
  • Verify and approve beneficiaries
  • Publicized approved beneficiaries
