The policy briefing calls for countries and their humanitarian and development partners to urgently ensure children’s rights to safety and security in schools, and to educational continuity in the face of emergencies are included in the Asia Regional Implementation Plans, AMCDRR declaration, national education and disaster management plans and policies, and collect better data to monitor the progress.

Asia-Pacific Coalition for School Safety (APCSS) calls for the engagement of more partners to join ASEAN Safe School Initiative (ASSI) in South-East Asia to accelerate and upscale the initiative and make it as effective as possible.
