Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS) has acquired a mobile medical clinic vehicle that will enable its health station in northern provinces of Thailand to provide medical assistance and  primary health care to communities in mountainous and remote areas. The operation will be managed by Chiangmai Red Cross Chapter No. 3 and Chiangmai health station, covering eight provinces, namely, Chiangmai, Nan, Lamphun, Phrae, Lamphang, Mae Hong Son, Pha yao, and Chiangrai.

The mobile clinic will also provide health screening (for Diabetes/Hypertension), nursing care, wound dressing, vaccination/ injection, family planning, counselling, health education, home visits for vulnerable people. It will assist approximately 5,000 beneficiaries.

  

IFRC has assisted TRCS in the procurement process. The vehicle was handed over to TRCS on 24 May 2018.
