This is the report of the first ever Asia Pacific Regional Disaster Law Field School, co-hosted by Australian Red Cross and IFRC, was held 24-27 April 2017 in Sydney Australia, bringing together 12 Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies with their respective governments, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Climate Centre, regional organisations such as the Association for South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) Secretariat for Pacific Community (SPC) and the Centre for the Prevention of Natural Disasters in Central America (CEPREDENAC), as well as UN agencies including UNOCHA and UNDP.

Youth Empowerment in Community (YEC) Programme Guide Pilot version was designed for a purpose of youth empowerment at communities to deeply address the issues of communities and inspire their positive change through youth innovative solutions by enhancing the knowledge, practicing in the field and gaining fresh perspective about the community challenges in a more peaceful and resilient way. The programme has four steps; Step 1; Trainings on youth such as Youth as Agents of Behavioural Change (YABC), Step 2; Field school and Practice in the field, Step 3; Community/School Actions, Step 4; Monitoring, peer learning and expansion.
This report gives a summary of the Gender and Diversity approaches to Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (VCA) which was delivered to: National Societies in Asia-Pacific, Partner National Societies working in the region and IFRC staff. The field school took place in Ayutthaya and Sing Buri Province, Thailand between 21-26 May 2017. The training was kindly co-hosted by the Thai Red Cross Society. Read more on the training.
