As the roads improve across Timor-Leste, zebra Crossings are being put in.  Cruz Vermelha de Timor-Leste (CVTL) carries out regular trainings in all branches to help volunteers and communities learn how to use zebra crossing safely. The activity is being done in collaboration with the police and is gradually raising an awareness about safty in crossing roads. The Covalima Branch of CVTL, both staff and volunteers, held a Zebra Crossing Education Campaign recently at a local market, hospital, café, and schools. The Zebra Crossing Campaign was done in cooperation with the police including the Transit Police Commander and his staff.  This activity achieved great success as it involved many people from the community and motorists.
